Localready is a two-year project initiated by the Turul Office with the aim of strengthening the long-term organizational sustainability of the association. Within the grant framework, over 24 months, the Turul Office targeted the implementation of four specific fundraising activities, redesigning the organization’s revenue methods, organizing professional exchanges with Romanian and Icelandic civil partners, and developing a five-year fundraising strategy.
During the project, the association also set goals for developing its website and communication strategy, collaborating with multiple experts for this purpose. The project implementation involves professional partnership with the Brasov Community Foundation and SEEDS Iceland, who provide support throughout the entire process with their experience and expertise.

The total project budget is €83,926.00, with a 1.34% contribution from the organization.

Results:

Over the course of 24 months, the #localready project focused on ensuring the sustainability of the organization, diversifying funding sources, and promoting volunteering. We hired a fundraising manager and collaborated with NGO’s in Romania, alongside an exchange of experience with SEEDS from Iceland. This initiative allowed us to learn new methods of fundraising and volunteer engagement.

  • We created a dedicated project section on the organization’s website, facilitating access to information and online donations.
  • The outdoor event “Compass – Path to the Community,” which gathered over 300 participants, increased the organization’s visibility and strengthened the connection with the local community.

Recognition and Impact:

  • Being recognized at the Covasna Superlative Gala, where we secured 3rd place in the “Most Active NGO” category, demonstrated the positive impact of the project.

We learned the importance of a well-structured team and international collaborations for implementing effective methods and practices.
